  • Instructions for Engaging Expert Services for Crime Scene Analysis:
    • I am an independent analyst.  I will provide services to you as an independent professional. Payment to me for the services I provide is not dependent upon my findings, nor on the outcome of any legal action, mediation, arbitration, or the amount or terms of any settlement of the underlying legal cause, nor on any contractual arrangement between you and any other person or party.
    • Facts that are not in dispute by either side can be discussed on the initial conferral.
      • What is necessary is that any theories are not discussed so that I don’t perform my analysis with the risk of contextual and/or confirmation bias.
    • Following initial consultation, if my services are to be engaged, I must be provided with the following evidence:
      • A comprehensive collection of all crime scene and evidence related photos to include autopsy photos and laboratory photos.
      • Crime scene reports, diagrams, photo log(s), master evidence list
      • Autopsy Report
      • All laboratory analysis results
      • Original incident report
      • Investigative unit(s) reports
    • Once I have reviewed your evidence we can then discuss investigative steps that were taken and theories of the events and sequences of events at which point the client will determine whether or not he/she wishes to continue to engage my services.
